Congratulations to the following gentlemen for winning Student of the Month for March.
Joshua Kim
This student has caught the attention of many for the way he has shown kindness to new students over the last month. His caring nature has come through in the way he has been guiding, mentoring, befriending and helping students to be a part of the TCIS community. He has improved his organisational skills and self managements skills, showing dependability with tasks and homework. He is able to work with a wide variety of students from differing backgrounds, and teachers can trust that he will help and support all students, not just his direct friends. He has earned the respect of many due to his empathy and compassion for others around him. He works diligently in class, demonstrating he is a thinker by asking questions and communicating confidently in a variety of subjects. He tries to maintain balance in his life by ensuring his social health and relationships are strong, and he places value on strong interpersonal skills.
Samuel Kim
This student diligently goes about the business of learning and school with little fuss. He is known as a trustworthy and kind student and has a reputation as a hard-working student already in the short amount of time he has been here. Many teachers and students comment on how caring and nice he is to others. Teachers have also noticed his determination and perseverance, even when tasks are challenging. Everyone would agree that “Principled” is a good description for the choices he makes consistently every day. He is an inquirer in class by asking questions and seeking clarification, and is pushing himself out of his comfort zone to be a risk taker by communicating more and trying new activities. This student always gives of his best, not just for his own gain, but also for the benefit of others, showing his servant heart.
